DC-X 1.6.3.0RC1
We’re almost done with our latest monthly release, DC-X 1.6.3.0. If you’re a Digital Collections partner or DC-X customer, you can help us by testing 1.6.3.0RC1 which is now available for download. (See our Wiki for a list of all changes.)
Besides the usual bug fixes and small improvements, there’s a major new feature in 1.6.3.0 – keyboard navigation (for our power users)! Press “h” for “Help” for a list of available keyboard shortcuts:
A small but important feature is the history of search terms you typed into the fulltext field. (Browsers have this functionality built-in, but in an “Ajax” web application where forms are not submitted the traditional way, it doesn’t work. So we had to implement it ourselves.) Either start typing or press “Arrow down” in the empty fulltext field – then you can choose a previous search string using arrow up/down and the Enter key.
